Translating Trends

Inspiration is a wonderful part of creativity. Although the inspiration is different for each person, the outcome can be similar as demonstrated below. Trend analysis and design work hand in hand. I created this collection with a inspiration that came from a post card in one of my grandmothers photo albums. The way the world once was…

In the past, vacations were not only a new journey, but they had a ritual. Women and men alike used to dress to the nines before jet setting to a paradise or historical destination. The collection that I created was for a generic ready to wear line. Missy apparel. This was designed in summer of 2011, for summer 2012.

In reviewing the spring summer collection by Honor, and my collection. The emerging trend is sportswear that works for business and casual purposes. As well as vibrant colors and prints.

Silhouettes and color themes are consistent with my chosen  color themes, and pattern selections.

  1. I love the paperbag waist! The Maui patterns and colors really say easy and breezy. The Maui tie pants are exquisite. Proof that wearibility and femininity can coexist is seen in the entire comprehensive collection.
